Step 1
Before disassembling the dock connector of your iPhone 6S Plus, you have to securely turn it off.
Maintain the power button on the top for a few seconds.
Then slide to the right to "power off" button in red.
Your iPhone 6S Plus is now turned off.
Step 2
The iPhone 6S Plus SIM card tray is on the right side of the phone, near the power button (on/off/sleep)
Step 3
With a pentalobe screw driver, remove the two screws circled in red on the picture.
Those screws are on both side of the lightning connector of the phone.
Those two screws maintain the bottom part of the screen on the iPhone's frame.
Step 4
Then put the iSclackon the iPhone 6S Plus.
The suction cups have to be near the home button (at the bottom) as shown on pictures 1 and 2.
Make sure the suction cups are perfectly attached to the iPhone and then close the handle of the iSclack to separate the suction cups, pulling the front panel up from the rear case.
A black seal on both sides of the phone and another white one at the top and bottom hold the display assembly to the rear panel.
Step 5
Then lift the display assembly to a 90° angle.
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the five screws circled in red.
Those screws hold the display assembly connector bracket. You'll be able to remove it using tweezers in the next step.
Step 6
Use tweezers to remove the display assembly connector bracket.
Step 7
With a nylon spudger, gently pry to disconnect the following cables:
- Front camera
- Earpiece speaker
- Proximity and light sensor
- Touch screen/LCD screen
Step 8
Still using the spudger, pry again and disconnect the last cable holding the display assembly to the rear case, running the home button.
Step 9
You can lift the complete screen and remove it.
Step 10
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those two screws hold the dock connector and GSM antenna cable.
Step 11
With a pair of tweezers, remove the battery connector bracket and the dock connector bracket.
Step 12
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the battery cable.
Step 13
Still with a nylon spudger, peel the three battery adhesive strips along the bottom edge of the battery.
Step 14
Pull on the first strip and then gently pull all of the three strips with your fingers (see pictures).
Step 15
You can now remove the battery with a nylon spudger.
Step 16
With the spudger's tip, remove the black sticker covering a screw.
Step 17
Then remove the four screws circled in red on the picture
Those screws hold the volume button bracket and the WiFI
Step 18
With tweezers, remove the volume/vibrator cable.
Step 19
With a nylon spudger, remove the volume/vibrator connector cable.
Step 20
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the WiFi antenna from the logic board.
Careful, the connector is very fragile.
Step 21
With a pair of tweezers, grab the WiFi antenna and remove it.
Step 22
Then remove the antenna by lifting it slowly.
You should be able to do this very easily.
Step 23
Use a cruciform screwdriver to remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws maintain the back camera bracket.
Step 24
Use tweezers and grab the camera bracket to remove it.
Step 25
With a nylon spudger, disconnect the camera cable.
Step 26
Still with a nylon spudger, gently take off the camera from its socket.
Step 27
Use a pair of tweezers and remove the camera.
Step 28
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws hold a grounding bracket.
Step 29
Once the screws are removed, remove the bracket with a pair of tweezers.
Step 30
Use the nylon spudger and disconnect the interconnect cable.
Step 31
Then with tweezers, gently pull the interconnect cable to remove it from its socket.
Step 32
With the flat part of the spudger, disconnect the dock connector/microphone/headphone jack cable and remove it.
Step 33
Still with a nylon spudger, remove the second interconnect cable.
Step 34
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws hold the NFC bracket and well as the logic board to the rear panel.
Step 35
With tweezers, grab the NFC bracket and remove it.
Step 36
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the screw circled in red.
This screw holds the logic board to the rear panel.
Step 37
Use a nylon spudger, pry the power button/flash and microphone connector.
Step 38
Insert a nylon spudger under the logic board, then lift it.
You should be able to do this easily.
Step 39
Use the cruciform screwdriver and remove the eight screws circled in red.
The screws hold the dock connector to the rear panel.
Step 40
With a pair of tweezers, grab and remove the lightning connector bracket.
Step 41
Use the spudger again and unclip the second interconnect cable connector.
Step 42
Use a pair of tweezers to remove the interconnect cable.
The bracket may come off the cable.
Step 43
Use the screwdriver again and remove the screw circled in red.
This screw maintains the speaker to the rear panel.
Step 44
Use tweezers and gently pull the interconnect cable until the speaker is removed.
Step 45
With a cruciform screwdriver, remove the two screws circled in red.
Those screws hold the vibrator to the rear panel.
Step 46
With a nylon spudger, pry to disconnect the vibrator cable.
Step 47
Then with a pair of tweezers, remove the vibrator.
Step 48
Remove the last two screws on the dock connector.
Those screws hold the dock connector or lightning connector to the rear panel.
Step 49
With the flat side of the nylon spudger, gently remove the microphone 1.
Step 50
Do the same as step 49 and remove the microphone 2.
Step 51
With the flat side of the spudger, gently remove the dock connector cable.
Then with the spudger, lift the headphone jack.
Step 52
Grab the dock connector cable and remove it.
Step 53
The dock connector of your iPhone 6S Plus is now disassembled.
If your iPhone does not charge anymore, you can replace it by a new dock connector.
